ISWNews Analysis Group: The positions of the American coalition in the al-Omar oil field located in Deir Ezzor province of Syria were targeted by a rocket attack.
The US occupation base in the al-Omar oil field were targeted by a rocket attack on January 3. After this attack, American fighters and drones conducted a reconnaissance flight in the area. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for this attack, but based on previous attacks on the US bases in Syria, it is possible that this attack was carried out by resistance groups.
The commanders of the US coalition and the US CENTCOM have not commented in this regard.
In order to prevent these attacks, the American coalition, along with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), has carried out a series of operations around its bases in Syria under various pretexts, but so far it has been unsuccessful in preventing and repelling these attacks.
It is worth noting that on December 30, the US military base in the al-Omar oil field in eastern Syria was targeted with several rockets.
