Hezbollah, Resistance Rain Fire On Israel From Southern Lebanon (Videos)
On November 12, Hezbollah and its allies launched another wave of attacks from southern Lebanon, inflicting some serious losses on the Israeli Regime army.
Hezbollah fighters first targeted an Israeli technical team that was installing surveillance and spying devices near Dovev barracks. Video footage from the scene of the attack showed several damaged or destroyed vehicles. Hebrew media reported that six were wounded in the attack, one in critical condition and five others in serious condition.
Right after the first attack, a truck carrying a bulldozer for the IDF was targeted by Hezbollah fighters, also close to Dovev barracks.
Later, Hezbollah targeted a gathering of Israeli troops near the triangle of al-Tahat, close to the town of Ruwaisa al-Asi. Video footage released by the group’s Military Media indicates that a number of soldiers were killed or wounded in the attack.
Another gathering of troops in the Birkat Risha military site was targeted by Hezbollah fighters, who also shelled the Zarit barracks. The group also released video footage showing the destruction of a surveillance system near al-Malikiyah barracks.
In five separate statements announcing the attacks, Hezbollah said they were carried out “in support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance.”
In another attack that was not claimed by Hezbollah, the Israel said that seven soldiers were lightly wounded as a result of a mortar attack that targeted the al-Manara military site.
The Palestinian Hamas Movement also resumed attacks from southern Lebanon after a short pause and announced that its fighters had targeted the northern parts of Haifa as well as the settlements of Shelomi and Nahariya in northern Israel. This was the group’s deepest rocket attack from the Lebanese front.
Israel confirmed that 15 rockets were launched in the direction of Haifa. Four of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system while the rest fell in open areas, according to the Israeli army. No casualties were reported by Hebrew media.
In response to the attacks, the Israeli army carried out a series of artillery and air strikes on southern Lebanon, targeting alleged positions of Hezbollah and cells responsible for attacks with anti-tank guided missiles and mortars.
Lebanese media said that two civilians were wounded in one of the strikes. Separately, Hezbollah said that one of its fighters was killed.
This was the most intense round of clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border since Hezbollah and its allies began launching attacks against the Israeli army following the start of the war in Gaza last month. The continuous clashes on the Lebanese front could quickly escalate into a full-blown war.
