Armed Forces of Yemen Issue New Warning; Ansar Allah Ready To Kick Off Naval War Against Israel

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesman for the Armed Forces of Yemen, stated in an official statement that in response to the demands of the Yemeni people and based on religious, national, and ethical responsibilities, as well as in line with Yemen’s military actions against the brutal aggression of the Israeli regime and the United States in the Gaza Strip, Israeli ships and affiliated companies will be targeted.

Brigadier General Saree went on to say that ships carrying the flag of the Israeli regime, as well as vessels belonging to Israeli companies, and ships managed by Israelis are considered military targets by the Armed Forces of Yemen.

The spokesman for the Armed Forces of Yemen also called on all countries around the world to prevent their citizens and workers from boarding these ships and to refrain from transporting cargo with them. Furthermore, ships from other countries should stay away from Israeli ships to remain safe from the consequences of an attack.

The official warning from the Armed Forces of Yemen against Israeli ships comes as they have carried out nine official missile and drone operations against Israeli positions in southern territories of occupied Palestine.

This statement marks a new development in the Palestinian-Israeli war, and it can be seen as the beginning of a naval war by the resistance forces against Israel. The Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait are among the main routes for Israeli ships; so, the insecurity in these waterways can put significant economic pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet.

It is worth mentioning that the escort of the Israeli ships by the United States’ naval fleet and the Saudi-led coalition, as well as the change in the route of Israeli vessels towards the Mediterranean Sea, are expected actions by the Israeli officials in a bid to counter Ansar Allah’s maritime threats.

If the Ansar Allah movement carries out the missile and drone attacks against Israeli ships, there would be also a possibility of confrontation with American forces. The United States’ military authorities had previously warned about Ansar Allah’s actions against Israel, especially during the shooting down of a US MQ-9 drone, but these warnings have not led to any confrontation or military attack by American forces on Yemen.
