9 Turkish Servicemen Killed In Northern Iraq

The Ministry of National Defense of Turkiye has confirmed the deaths of 9 servicemen in the Operation Claw-Lock in northern regions of Iraq.

The Ministry of National Defense of Turkiye announced that as a result of an attack by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) elements on a military base in northern Iraq, 5 Turkish soldiers were killed and 8 others were injured, with 3 of them in critical condition.

After a few hours, sources announced that 4 more soldiers were also killed, which brings the total number of Turkish soldiers killed in Iraq to 9.

According to media close to the PKK, the recent operation against Turkish soldiers took place in the Great Zab region in northern Iraq, during which at least 9 Turkish soldiers were killed and over 15 others were injured.
