Latest Updates on Afghanistan, 30 August 2019

1. Afghanistan presidential election:
Muhammad Mohaqiq joined Abdullah Abdullah campaign.
 
2. Zabol:
Due to Taliban attack to a security forces base in Qalat town, 16 were martyred.
 
3. Wardak:
Due to Taliban attack to Jalriz town, 15 Taliban members killed or injured.
 
4. Faryab:
Due to Taliban heavy attack to security forces base of Qarmaqol town, 2 security forces are martyred and 9 injured. Taliban’s attacks to the town is continuing and Qarmaqol is about to fall.
 
5. Takhar:
Chah Ab town is occupied by Taliban but security forces reported to repel their attack and their retreat.
