Russia Will Build an Airbase in Qamishli Airport

ISWNews Analysis Group: According to Russian media, Russian Army is going to build a new airbase inside Qamishli airport located at northeast of Syria.
Russian Ministry of Defense tv reported today of deploying Mi-8 and Mi-35 helicopter and Pantsir air defense systems in Qamishli airport.
One of goals for erecting the airbase is to use the helicopters for joint Russian-Turkish patrols and also filling the recent military gap in north of Syria due to US. evacuation.
