Latest Updates on Libya, 17 December 2019

1. Putin and Erdogan, Presidents of Russia and Turkey talked on the phone about war in Libya. It is said, Erdogan asked end of Russia’s support for Gen. Haftar and LNA.

2. Luigi Di Maio, Italian FM, after meeting with Fayez al-Sarraj in Tripoli, met with Gen. Haftar.

3. Commanders of militia in Misrata, Zliten and Zawiyah and other towns controlled by GNA issued a statement to help fronts against Gen. Haftar.

4. LNA and GNA forces heavy engagement in four axes south of Qara Bullali, Ain Zara to Yarmuk, Swani-Aziziya road and south of Zawiyah. No change in front lines.
