Map: The advances of Syrian Army in the north and south of Maarat al-Numan, Turkey’s observation post in the eve of siege

ISWNews Analysis Group: On 27 January, following the advances of Syrian Army in north and south of Maarat al-Numan, more than ten points and villages were liberated from the terrorists occupation.

The regions and villages of Maasaran, Mazian, Tal al-Shih, Maarata, al-Hamediyah, Bsidah, Kafr Basin, Babulin, Sahyan, Moqa and al-Ameriyah were released from militants occupation.
With these advances in the south of Maarat al-Numan, Turkey’s observation post in Maar Haatat is in the eve of siege.

In the case of liberation of this region, this will be the third Turkish observation post after Mourak and Sarman observation posts, that is located in the depth of released regions.

Now, Clashes are continuing around the al-Hamediyah garrison and the village of Hesh in the south of Maarat al-Numan, between the Syrian Army and terrorists.
Also, clashes are continuing in the south of Khan al-Sobol in the Khan al-Sobols farms and surrounding between the two sides, intensely.

Also, roads toward the Turkish border witness the widespread presence of displaced people and refugees who have fled their homes in western Aleppo and Idlib province because of the clashes.
