ISWNews Analysis Group: The Russian army and DPR forces advanced on the city of Mariupol, besieging the Ukrainian forces in two areas.
In the east of the city, with the advances made, the district of Livoberezhnyi came under the complete control of the Russian forces. To the west of the city, the southern part of the Prymorskyi district came under Russian control. Russian forces also took control of the port of Mariupol. In the south of the city, the fishing port of Mariupol came under Russian control.
