Israeli Regime Airstrikes On Syria Wounds 5 SAA Servicemen
ISWNews Analysis Group – In the early hours of April 2, Israeli regime warplanes fired a number of missiles at targets in Syria’s Homs province wounding five Syrian servicemen.
According to a Syrian military source, “at around 00:35 Sunday local time, the Zionist enemy attacked targets in the city of Homs and its surroundings with several missile from the northeast of Beirut, Lebanon. Our air defense systems shot down most of the missiles. This attack resulted in the injury of five soldiers and the occurrence of material damages.”
Further details of the attack have not been released. However, it is said that the positions of the Syrian army in “Shayrat Air Base” and T-4 military airport located in Homs province were among the targets of this attack.
This Israeli attack is the third attack of the Zionist regime on Syrian territory in the last 4 days. Also, this is the sixth attack of the Israeli regime on Syria after the devastating earthquake in this country.
It is worth noting that on Friday March 31 at 00:17 (local time), the fighter jets of the Israeli regime fired a number of missiles at targets in the suburbs of Damascus, as a result of which one of the IRGC’s military advisers was martyred. Also, the second person died last night due to the severity of his injuries.

It seems that the Israeli army is pursuing a specific goal with frequent air strikes on Syria. This type of attack has been unprecedented in the past years. Most likely, by escalating the tension, Israel intends to luring Iran to a limited military response and then achieve its other main goals.
