Israel Concludes Military Operation In Jenin Camp

The Israeli regime’s army has officially declared the end of its military operation in the Jenin County located in the West Bank.

ISWNews Analysis Group – A spokesperson for the Israeli regime’s army announced in an interview with a French media outlet that Israel’s military operation in Jenin came to an end on July 5, adding that Israeli soldiers have now left the Jenin area.

The spokesperson for the regime’s army went on to say that the “Home and Garden” operation in Jenin was complex and difficult, but we achieved our goals.

As a result of the operation, some 300 residents of Jenin were arrested and 12 Palestinians were killed, the spokesperson noted.

The end of Israel’s “Home and Garden” operation in Jenin has been announced in a circumstance that Hebrew-language media outlets admitted the Israelis failed to achieve their objectives in the military operation in Jenin.

Israel’s Haaretz newspaper reported that the Jenin operation will not bring peace to Israelis nor change the current situation in the West Bank.

In this respect, another Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth also emphasized that the regime’s army has only managed to arrest a number of individuals sought by the Israel Security Agency, better known by the acronym Shabak or the Shin Bet, from the long list of wanted Palestinians in Jenin city.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli regime’s recent attack on Jenin is considered the largest military operation in this region since 2002.

According to Palestinian sources, more than three thousand soldiers, two hundred vehicles, and dozens of helicopters were used in the recent operation.

As a result of the operation, which began on the early morning of July 3, some12 Palestinians were martyred and 120 others were injured. In addition, a member of the Israeli special forces named David Yehuda Yitzhak was killed by gunfire amid clashes in the Jenin refugee camp on Tuesday evening.
