Yemeni Army Announce Attacks On A Ship In Arabian Sea With A New Missile

The Yemeni army spokesperson Brigade General Yahya Saree said in a statement that the Yemeni army’s missile force attacked MSC SARAH V merchant vessel in the Arabian sea with a ballistic missile, and the hit was accurate and direct.

He further added that in this attack they used a new ballistic missile which has recently gone through its testing stages. This operation proves that this missile has the ability to accurately hit targets at long distances.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), a detachment of the Royal Navy, also reported the incident.

UKMTO reported that a merchant vessel was targeted 96 nautical miles southeast of Yemen’s southeastern coastal town Nishtun. The captain and crew of the vessel forced to abandon ship after it suffered flooding that could not be contained. The abandoned ship remains adrift and in danger of sinking.

The Yemeni army has promised that missile and drone attacks against the illegal ships that violate the ban on entering the ports of occupied Palestine will continue until the Israeli and American crimes against the Palestinian people stop.

Since last November, the Yemeni army attacked dozens of vessels affiliated with Israel or owned by the U.S. and the UK in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea in response to the Israeli war and siege on Gaza.

The U.S. and the UK have carried out hundreds of strikes against AnsarAllah-controlled areas in Yemen since January in an attempt to deter the group and degrade its offensive capabilities, but to no avail.
