The Us Bombed Sanaa; Then Shot Down Its Own Fighter Jet!
Late on December 21, the US warplanes bombed two targets in the Atan area of Sanaa province and Jabal al-Jada’ in al-Lahiya district in northern al-Hudaydah province.
CENTCOM claims that in these attacks, Super Hornet fighter jets attacked an Ansar Allah missile depot and a command and control center. CENTCOM also claims to have repelled an Ansar Allah attack with a suicide drone and an anti-ship cruise missile over the Red Sea.
But the attack against Yemen was followed by the loss of a $70 million F/A-18F Super Hornet for the US Army.
According to US officials, four hours after the US attack, a US Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet from the USS Harry S. Truman was accidentally shot down by the USS Gettysburg over the Red Sea.
It seems the USS Gettysburg mistakenly identified the American fighter jet as a Yemeni retaliatory strike, believing it to be a missile or drone, which resulted in significant damage to the US military!
