Iranian satellites Tolo-3, Zafar-2 and Kosar-1.5 on their way to orbit!
Final preparations for the launch of a Soyuz‑2.1b rocket carrying three Iranian satellites at Russia’s Vostochny Cosmodrome have entered their final stage. After safety reviews, Russia’s State Space Commission has authorized fueling of the launch vehicle, and operational teams are conducting final checks.
According to the schedule, the rocket will lift off at 16:38 Iran time from Vostochny’s launch pad. The Soyuz‑2.1b will carry three Iranian satellites—Tolou‑3, Zafar‑2, and Kosar‑1.5—alongside 49 other payloads, including research, commercial, and university satellites, all deployed together in a combined mission to Earth orbit.
This launch is part of the broader space cooperation between Iran and Russia. Once in orbit, the satellites are expected to enhance telecommunications, remote sensing, and research capabilities. The participation of numerous international satellites in this mission also reflects Iran’s growing role in joint and commercial space endeavors.
