15 people killed in US attack on Idlib region

ISWNews Analysis Group: A number of former al-Nusra commanders, smugglers and tribal leaders were killed in a US airstrike on a tent near the village of Salqin near the Turkish border in the Idlib region.

In a statement, the U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM, said the strike will disrupt al-Qaeda’s ability to further plot and carry out global attacks threatening U.S. citizens, partners and innocent civilians.

According to local sources, the famous smuggler Samir al-Hassan Ibrahim and two of his brothers, Hamoud al-Saharah and Abu Talha al-Hadidi, former commanders of Tahrir al-Sham, and three tribal leaders of the Hama and Akidat tribes were killed in the attack.
