According to Spanish officials, 27,100 members of the Spanish army have taken part in the war in Afghanistan. The Spanish troops were stationed at NATO bases in the provinces of Herat, Badghis and Kabul, and their number was reduced to 26 in 2021, and they also left Afghanistan in recent days.
