An unidentified drone shot down near a US base in Syria
ISWNews Analysis Group: On August 21, a US F-15 warplane shot down an unidentified drone near the US military base in the Omar oil field in Syria’s Deir Ezzor province.
Some believe that the downed drone was an Iranian drone, but this has not yet been confirmed. In general, Iranian drones are in service by resistance groups in Iraq and Syria, and these drones are used to fight terrorist groups. So even if the drone proves to be Iranian, it would not be so strange.
Earlier, on July 7, US coalition positions in the Omar oil field were targeted by a drone.
