US: We Will Not Leave Iraq!

The US Consul General in Erbil, Robert Palladino, stressed at a press conference today that the United States will continue its presence in Iraq, including in the Kurdistan region.
Following ISIS insurgency in Iraq in 2014, US troops have expanded their presence in Iraq and the Kurdistan region by the excuse of fighting ISIS in the form of International Coalition Against ISIS. In recent years, the Americans have established several military bases in Iraqi Kurdistan by signing agreements with the consent of Kurdish regional officials.
