Yemeni Armed Forces Reveals Detail of ‘Operation Hurricane Yemen’

ISWNews Analysis Group: The Yemeni Armed Forces called the January 17th operation a response to the escalation of US, Saudi and UAE aggression against Yemen and declared it a success.

Brigadier General Yahya al-Sari’, spokesman of Yemen Armed Forces announced details of ‘Operation Hurricane Yemen’ in a statement this morning:

“Operation Hurricane Yemen targeted Dubai and Abu Dhabi Airports, the Musaffah oil refinery in Abu Dhabi, and a number of important and sensitive UAE sites and facilities.

The operation was carried out with five ballistic and winged missiles and a large number of drones.

The Armed Forces are fulfilling their promises. We warn the aggressor countries again that they will suffer more painful blows. We warn foreign companies, citizens and residents of the enemy country “UAE” to stay away from vital sites and facilities to maintain their security.

The Yemeni Armed Forces declare that the UAE is an insecure country as long as it is waging war against Yemen.”

Brigadier General Yahya al-Sari’ added: “Operation Hurricane Yemen targeted the Musaffah oil refinery and Abu Dhabi Airport with four Quds 2 cruise missiles. A Zulfiqar ballistic missile also targeted Dubai Airport. In addition to the mentioned targets, Samad-3 drones also attacked a number of other sensitive and important targets.”

It should be noted that operation ‘Hurricane Yemen’ led to explosions in the Musaffah district and the fire of fuel tankers in the area, as well as severe disruption of flights at Abu Dhabi Airport.
