Tahrir Al-Sham Attacks Syrian Army HQs In Aleppo and Idlib + Video
ISWNews Analysis Group – Several Syrian Army soldiers were martyred and injured following the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) attacks on the SAA headquarters in the west of Aleppo and south of Idlib.
On January 10th, Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) militants, using bad weather conditions and insufficient visibility due to fog, started an operation against one of the headquarters of the Syrian army in Basartun area, in the west of Aleppo, in which, several Syrian Army servicemen were martyred and a number of others were wounded.
One day after this attack, the HTS’s Abu Bakr al-Sadiq Brigade again attacked the headquarters of Syrian Army in Kawkaba area, in the south of Idlib. During this conflict, at least three Syrian army servicemen were martyred and four others were injured. Also, four HTS militants were seriously injured during this conflict, but media affiliated with Tahrir al-Sham have claimed that the Abu Bakr al-Sadiq militants retreated safely.
These attacks show a clear violation of the ceasefire by Tahrir al-Sham in Idlib region.
It is noteworthy that in recent weeks, the number attacks by Tahrir al-Sham against the positions of Syrian Army in Aleppo and Idlib provinces has increased drastically, and taking into account the developments in northern Syria and the al-Julani blackmailing Turkey, there is a possibility that Tahrir al-Sham will carry out wider and more attacks against the Syrian army.
