First Drone Boat Manufactured By UAE, Israel!
ISWNews Analysis Group – The first drone boat manufactured by the Israeli regime and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was unveiled in the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2023 in the UAE capital city Abu Dhabi.
On Monday, the UAE and Israel revealed the first drone boat or unmanned surface vessel (USV), which has been manufactured in line with military industry cooperation between Tel Aviv and Abu Dhabi.
The naval vessel is equipped with advanced censors and imaging systems. The drone boat is scheduled to be utilized for hunting and detecting mines in Abu Dhabi coast.
The International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2023 and the NAVDEX 2023 are being held in Abu Dhabi for aerial products and marine equipment respectively. Some 1350 companies take part in the exhibitions from February 20 to 24.
In recent years, certain regional and international powers have manufactured unmanned naval vessels, which are being controlled from a distance in different types such as surveillance and suicide drones, with the aim of increase their combat power and maritime deterrence.
Given the facts that the UAE and the Zionist regime have close ties, and Tehran and Tel Aviv have cold war in areas around Iran, there is a possibility that the drone boats would be applied for espionage and trouble-making objectives in the Persian Gulf.
On April 3, 2022, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei and Minister of Transport and Road Safety of Israel Merav Michaeli signed a memorandum of understanding in order to exchange experiences in the field of marine transportation as well as expand strategic partnerships between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv.
