August 8, 1998 The Beginning of a Continuous Tragedy!

Taliban, as their first action after taking full control of Mazar-i-Sharif city, committed a genocide against Shias of this province. Many innocent and defenseless people were massacred by Taliban in regions which were mostly Shia populated.

According to official statistics from International Institutions, after capturing Mazar-i-Sharif, only in three first days Taliban killed more than 10000 people in regions of Yulmarb, Dashte Shour, Hajat Rawa, Zera`at, Ali Chupan, Qizil Abad, Sayyed Abad and Chamtal, Sholgareh and Dowlat Abad in form of mass murder and killing them in front of their families.

Mass graves of these mass murders still exists in Qizil Abad and Chamtal, and yet the bodies of the oppressed martyrs of this tragedy have not been buried.

Taliban as their first action went to Shias of Mazar-i-Sharif house to house and did all the crimes that they could think of against the shias.

Alongside committing mass murder against the people, they killed Shia diplomats too.
In their first hours of arriving to Mazar-i-Sharif, invaded the consulate of Islamic Republic of Iran, and without any regards for political and diplomatic immunity, they martyred 11 Iranian diplomats.

Taliban, by killing the Shia people of Mazar-i-Sharif and invading consulate of Iran in this city, proved their anti-shia behavior.
Despite the resistance of Uzbek and Tajik people of north against Taliban forces —which wasn’t much less than the resistance of Shia parties— why Taliban, of all the resisting fronts in north, picked shias and started killing and pillaging them? What factors were involved in this action of Taliban? In this short paper i will try to find answers to these questions.

Nowadays, almost all the people in region and Afghanistan know that Taliban was formed as a result of America’s colonialism policy, and its Think Tanks.

Also the Americans acknowledged it and confirmed their support for Taliban.

The Americans created Taliban and then with the Saudi Arabia money, UAE and Pakistan armed this group and it dominated the oppressed people of Afghanistan.
America with targeting Shias of Afghanistan by Taliban and with money and weapons from Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, was trying to persuade Iran into this too so that they can make it a religious & racial war and involve Iran in this Erosion War.

This matter was confirmed by officials of Taliban after collapse of Taliban.
Committing carnage against Shias of Afghanistan and mass murder against Iranian diplomats was continuance of this hostile policy.

This matter is still of importance for Americans as a theory. Now ,that the expiration date of Taliban has ended, The Americans are trying by creating and supporting ISIS, to massacre shias and involve Iran in a religious war in Afghanistan.

This policy still continues with fundings from Arab countries and pivotal role of Saudi Arabia.

If we analyse the approach of ISIS in committing massacre against Shias of Afghanistan & targeting religious ceremonies and places, it will be obvious that these actions are in following of America’s hostile policy.
