A Turkish Serviceman Killed In Northern Iraq

ISWNews Analysis Group – Turkiye’s Ministry of National Defense stated on May 12 that a Turkish military personnel was killed during the “Operation Claw-Lock” in northern Iraq.

According to Turkish media, this soldier was killed as a result of rocket attacks by PKK militants in northern Iraq. With the death of this Turkish soldier, the number of casualties of the Turkish army in the Operation Claw-Lock increased to 72 Servicemen.

The Ministry of National Defense declared that two PKK militants who participated in the operation to kill this Turkish soldier were killed by Turkish strikes in northern Iraq.

It should be noted that the last Turkish casualties in Operation Claw-Lock dates back to December 26, 2022. On December 26, 2022, Turkiye’s Ministry of National Defense announced the a Turkish soldier was killed during a conflict with Kurdish militias in northern Iraq.
