Head Of Popular Mobilization Units Meets With President Of Syria
On May 6, Head of the Hashd al-Shaabi organization (Popular Mobilization Units) Falih al-Fayyadh met and held discussions with President of Syria Bashar al-Assad in capital Damascus.
During this meeting, the Syrian president and the head of the PMU discussed cooperation between Syria and Iraq in the areas of combating terrorism, coordinating border control, and hunting terrorist groups.
Bashar al-Assad emphasized that the terrorist nature based on killing and bloodshed is similar everywhere in the world, and those, who sponsor terrorism in Syria and Iraq, are the same ones who back this phenomenon in other regions.
Pointing out to the fact that the terrorists only have different names, the president of Syria stressed that the steadfastness and strength of the armed forces of Syria and Iraq have been the main factors behind the successive victories against the terrorists and their supporters.
