Israeli Warplanes Carry Out Airstrikes On Yemen’s Al Hudaydah; Yemen Vows To Respond
The Israeli regime’s warplanes, with the help of the US-UK coalition’s naval fleet, bombed oil depots and several other targets in the western Yemeni city of Al Hudaydah.
The Israeli enemy carried out airstrikes against the oil depot of the port of Al Hudaydah and the fuel depot of the power station of the city. The airstrikes were conducted by Israeli warplanes, killing and wounding a number of employees both at the port and power station, as well as some civilians.
In response to the Israeli attack on Al Hudaydah, Mohammed Abdul Salam, Spokesman for the Ansar Allah movement and in charge of negotiations for the Yemeni Salvation Government, said: “Israel’s brutal aggression against Yemen was carried out by targeting civilian facilities, oil depots and the Al Hudaydah power station with the aim of doubling the suffering of the people. Putting pressures on Yemen to stop supporting the Gaza Strip is a dream that will not come true for the Israeli enemy. This barbaric aggression will only increase the determination, steadfastness, continuity and growing support of the Yemeni people and their brave armed forces for Gaza. By the grace of God, the people of Yemen are able to face all challenges and seek God’s help for the victory of the oppressed Palestine and the people of Gaza, who are the symbols of justice on earth.”
The Yemeni army promised to respond to the Israeli attack by releasing a statement.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced:
“The Israeli enemy launched a brutal invasion of Hodeidah province, with several attacks on the power plant of the coastal city of Hodeidah, the port of Hodeidah and fuel depots, all of which are civilian targets. The Yemeni armed forces, while confirming what was stated in their previous statements, emphasize that they will respond to this open aggression and, with the help of God Almighty, will not hesitate to hit the vital targets of the Israeli enemy, and we reiterate that the Jaffa area ( Tel Aviv) is an unsafe area.”
Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, in separate messages, while declaring solidarity with the Yemeni government and people, strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes in Hudaydah and condoled the martyrdom of a group of Yemeni civilians.
Hamas called on all the countries of the world and Islamic and Arab countries to condemn this crime and unite to fight against the usurping Zionist regime.
The Israeli military aggression on Yemen will likely lead to more escalation by the Yemenis, who have been launching strikes against Israel and targeting ships linked to the country and its allies in response to the war on Gaza.
