Turkey Delays Its Operation in East of Euphrates, Syria
Islamic World News Analysis Group: Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that Ankara will delay its operation in east of the Euphrates River, Syria.
He said that after the phone call we made with U.S. President Donald Trump, as well as the contacts of our diplomatic and security units, we decided to wait for a while and of course this is not an open ended waiting process.
Erdogan said that Turkey has “no eyes” on Syria’s territory but our position against terrorist attacks targeting us from Syria is clear.
He added that Turkey was obliged to take over the peacemaker role in Syria.
