Media controversy of Yemeni ambassador and Iranian defense minister meeting in Tehran
ISWNews Analysis Group: Yesterday, Ibrahim Mohammed al-Deilami the ambassador of Yemen’s National Salvation Government met Iranian Defense Minister Amir Hatami.
During the meeting, Al-Deilami conveyed the message from Defense Minister Mohammed al-Atefi and Yemeni Joint Chief of Staff Mohammed al-Ghammari, which praised Iran’s stances and its cooperation in the Yemen war. He also discussed ways to strengthen joint military cooperation.
Saudi coalition affiliated media cited Al-Deilami’s remarks at the meeting as a base to prove their allegations about Iran’s support and military presence in Yemen.
In this regard, Brian Hook, US Department of State Special Representative for Iran, claims a person who is General Abdul Reza Shahlai, is in charge of the Iranian military in Yemen. Hook announced that the United States rewards 15$ million for reliable information about Abdul Reza Shahlai.
The unknown person, Shahlai has been charged by US for terrorist crimes, weapons trafficking for Ansar Allah and the assassination of Adel al-Jubeir.
