Latest news from the Nagorno-Karabakh fronts, Who controls the Hadrut?!

– Clashes continue on the Hadrut front in the south of the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
Azerbaijani media published a video titled “Azerbaijani forces inside the village of Hadrut”, but later, by matching the video with satellite images, it became clear that the video was filmed outside of Hadrut.

The video was filmed outside Hadrut

According to the field news and what has been published so far by the media on both sides, it seems that the village of Hadrut is empty on both sides and Azerbaijani and Armenian forces are stationed in the heights of the region overlooking Hadrut, and the front is practically locked.

Field situation in Hadrut – Yellow is the rate of advance of Azerbaijani forces near Hadrut

The control of the village of Hadrut is of special importance to Azerbaijan because it is “the first major village” in the south and “within the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous oblast” to come under the control of Azerbaijani forces. And if that happens, the Nagorno-Karabakh equations will change more rapidly in favor of Azerbaijan. Although some believe that this village is a kind of gateway to Stepanakert, but given the mountainous situation of the region, this is not true and there is a long way to go to the city of Stepanakert.
The only strategic importance of Hadrut could be the possibility of the siege of “Fuzulo” or the shaking and weakening of Hadrut’s right and left flanks for the Armenian forces.

– The Armenian Ministry of Defense claimed that Armenian forces had succeeded in pushing back the Azerbaijani forces from the village of Talysh (Kendi) in the northeast of Nagorno-Karabakh. Azerbaijan, on the other hand, still claims control of the villages of Madaghis (Sugovushan) and Talysh.
These claims are made while the situation in these areas is not yet clear. So far, the Armenian Ministry of Defense has not released any images to prove this claim, and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense released vague and suspicious images of the Madaghis dam a few days ago.

– The artillery of the Azerbaijani army targeted the areas of Martuni(Khujavend), Askeran and Martakert(Agdere).

– Iranian air defense systems shot down an Israeli-made UAV “Harop” belonging to the Azerbaijani army near Parsabad.
