Captured Israeli Soldier Killed In Ambush: Hamas Military Wing (Video)
The Izz ad-Din Al-Qassam Brigades announced in a statement that its fighters thwarted the Israeli army’s attempt to reach one of its captives on Friday morning.
Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, declared in the statement on December 8 that its fighters noticed the presence of Israeli commando forces trying to free one of their captives and engaged in a clash with them.
During the clash, Palestinian fighters killed or injured a number of Israeli soldiers, after which Israeli warplanes heavily bombed the area to allow their forces to retreat.
Al-Qassam Brigades emphasized that during the clashes, a 25-year-old Israeli soldier named Baruch was killed. According to Al-Qassam, one of the Israeli commando’s weapons and his communication equipment were confiscated as spoils of war.
