The Israeli media outlet Walla reported that fighters of the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, have been deployed in southern Syria and started carrying out intelligence activities against the Israeli regime.

The Israeli website Walla claimed in a report that intelligence assessments by the army and security organizations of this regime indicate that Hezbollah has begun collecting information about the activities of the Israeli army in the border region with Syria.

The report alleges that Hezbollah fighters have recently been transferred to the southern borders of Syria and are using Syrian army bases against the Israeli regime. It is also unclear whether Hezbollah’s activities at the Syrian border have been coordinated with the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad or not.

This Israeli media report is being published while the Israeli regime’s army has recently conducted a maneuver simulating ground operations in southern Lebanon. Additionally, the military authorities of the Israeli regime have threatened to carry out a ground operation in the northern front in a more public manner.

The potential operation of the Israeli regime’s army in the northern front of occupied Palestine, in addition to southern Lebanon, could also encompass southern Syria, and Walla’s report is in line with justifying and rationalizing the Israeli regime’s potential attacks on Syria.
