Yemeni Army Conducts Missile, Drone Attacks On Port Of Eilat, US Ship

In a statement issued Sunday morning (July 21), Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced the details of the two recent operations by the Yemeni forces.

Explaining the details of the two separate attacks, Brigadier General Saree said:

“In a military operation, the missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces fired a number of ballistic missiles at important targets in the area of Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat), and by the grace of God, this attack achieved its objectives successfully.
The naval, drone and missile units of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a joint military operation to target the American ship Pumba in the Red Sea with a number of ballistic missiles and drones, and a direct strike was inflicted upon the ship, by the grace of God.”

Brigadier General Saree continued by emphasizing the continuation of military operations in the area announced in previous statements, adding that the Yemeni armed forces emphasize their full right to defend dear Yemen against the US-UK aggression as well as the Israeli regime, and that this aggression will not deter the great Yemen from its firm stance in supporting the oppressed people of Palestine.

In addition, the operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces against Israeli, American, and British ships and their affiliated vessels heading to the ports of occupied Palestine will not stop until the aggression against and siege of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip comes to an end.

The Pumba is a container ship that has been operating under the Liberian flag since 2006.

The Yemeni army’s attack on the Pumba ship is the 148^th official strike by the Yemeni Armed Forces on prohibited ships (Israeli, American, British and their affiliated vessels) in the Red and Arabian Seas, as well as the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The missile attack on Eilat is also the 25th operation of the Yemeni army against Israeli positions in occupied Palestine.
