Israel Strikes Sanaa Airport Again
On May 28, the Israeli regime’s warplanes have bombed Sanaa International Airport in a ninth airstrike on Yemen.
On Wednesday morning, May 28, Israeli warplanes targeted Sanaa airport and Yemeni passenger planes in an operation called “Golden Jewels.” According to Yemeni media, the air force carried out four strikes on the airport runway and a Yemeni passenger aircraft.
Zionist media reported that more than ten warplanes participated in the operation. As a result of this attack, the last functioning Yemeni passenger plane operating between Jordan and Yemen was destroyed.
Khaled Al-Shayef, Director General of Sanaa International Airport, stated, “The Zionist enemy targeted the last Yemeni airline plane operating at Sanaa International Airport and completely destroyed it.”
According to data collected by IWN, this attack marks the ninth airstrike by the Israeli regime against Yemen. In these attacks, Israeli warplanes have targeted Sanaa airport, the western ports of Yemen, and power plants, aiming to exert economic pressure to hinder Yemeni support operations for the Palestinian resistance.
