Local sources have reported the assassination of the ringleader of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham militants, an alliance of militant groups active in Syria, in a hospital in the north of the Arab country.

Abu Mariya al-Qahtani, the second-in-command of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), was killed in an explosion on April 4.
