Israeli Drone Attack On Jenin Leaves 3 Palestinian Fighters Martyred
As a result of a drone strike by the Israeli regime’s army on a vehicle in the northern outskirts of Jenin city, three Palestinian resistance fighters were martyred.
ISWNews Analysis Group – On June 22, a Hermes 450 drone, belonging to the Israeli regime’s army, targeted a vehicle, which was carrying Palestinian resistance fighters, in the northern outskirts of Jenin city in the West Bank. As a result of the air raid, three Palestinian resistance fighters named Suhayb Adnan Al-Ghoul (27-year-old Palestinian and field commander of Jenin Brigades), Muhammad Bashar Awais (28-year-old Palestinian and one of the commanders of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades) and Ashraf Murad Al-Saadi (17-year-old and one of the forces of Al-Quds Brigades) were martyred.
In this respect, the Israeli regime’s army declared in a statement that the Israeli drones targeted a vehicle whose occupants had fired at one of the Israeli army’s checkpoints in the north of the West Bank.
The Jenin Brigades, affiliated with Al-Quds Brigades, which is the military branch of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, emphasized in a statement that following such a foolish decision, the Israeli enemy must expect consequences and punishment.
The Jenin Brigades also went on to say that such terrorist acts will not weaken the determination and motivation of the resistance fighters.
After the air strike, senior leader of the Hamas movement Ismail Radwan said that the use of drones in military operations against the Palestinian people in Jenin city is a dangerous development, and we call on the resistance groups to escalate the level of confrontation in the face of the occupiers in the region.
It is worth noting that the air strike has been the first drone assassination operation in the West Bank since 2005.
Given the growing trend of retaliatory operations against the Israeli regime in the West Bank, it is likely that this type of drone operation and the assassination of Palestinian resistance fighters will be repeated.
The issue needs to be responded strongly by the Palestinian resistance groups and if the Israeli regime does not receive a worthy and appropriate response, the Palestinian resistance fighters are expected to witness the assassination of the commanders and resistance forces in the West Bank by the occupying regime at all times.
