3 Turkish Military Personnel Killed In Northern Iraq

The Ministry of National Defense of Turkiye has confirmed the killing of three more of its military personnel during the “Claw-Lock” operation in northern Iraq.

ISWNews Analysis Group: On July 13, the Ministry of National Defense admitted that three of its soldiers were killed during the “Claw-Lock” operation in northern regions of the neighboring Arab country of Iraq.

As a result of the new casualties, the number of death toll of the Turkish army in the “Claw-Lock” operation, which began at dawn on April 18, 2022, by order of Turkish Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants in northern Iraq, increased to 77 dead.

On June 12, the Ministry of National Defense declared that two of its soldiers were killed during the “Claw-Lock” operation in northern Iraq as well.
