ISWNews Analysis Group: The air defense maneuver started on November 22 over an area of 416,000km2 in the central province of Semnan.
Khatam al-Anbiya air defense base, Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iran’s Army jointly hold the war game and have aimed to test-fire the electronic war and optic monitoring equipment, simulating the Persian Gulf general area and the Strait of Hormuz.
In this drill, the Iranian military used various air defense systems such as 15th Khordad, Talash, Kavosh, Mersad, etc. Also Karrar UAV used for simulating stealth warplanes.
