MPs petition against Barham Salih

ISWNews Analysis Group: Members of Parliament in Iraq signed a petition demanding resignation of Barham Salih, the President, due to delay in introducing the new PM.
Adi Awad, member of Sadequn fraction subgroup of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq in Parliament said:
The deadline to introducing the new PM was 15 days which ended yesterday and Barham Salih did not respect it and violated the constitution.
The protests in Iraq started two months ago and PM Abdul Mahdi resigned on 29 November 2019 which was accepted by the Parliament on 1 December 2019.
