Turkey’s Aeroballistic Missile Family
According to released information, ROKETSAN’s air-launched missile family is being developed in several models with different ranges, intended for use from combat drones and jet fighters.
The UAV-122 model is designed for use from combat drones and has a range of about 55 kilometers. The guidance system of this missile is a combination of inertial satellite navigation, and the possibility of using a TV or semi-active laser imaging seeker has also been mentioned for it.
The UAV-230 model is considered the next step of this family and is fired from combat drones, with a range of more than 150 kilometers. Its guidance is also based on GNSS+INS, and the possibility of using a semi-active laser seeker has been raised for it.
The JET-230 version is a variant of the UAV-230 for use from jet fighters, and its range reaches more than 200 kilometers.
At the highest tier is the UAV-300, whose range varies depending on the launch platform; if fired from combat drones, this missile will have a range of about 300 kilometers, and if fired from jet fighters, up to 500 kilometers.
