Who Is Martyr Abu Haydar Al-Hamzi?
Abdullah Ahsan Jar Allah Al-Hamzi also known as Abu Haydar, was an Ansar Allah field commander whose bravery and fights against the terrorism and his sacrifices for the sake of Yemen people will never be forgotten from Yemeni people minds.
He was from the Hamzat region of Saada province and one of the commanders of Ansar Allah ground forces who was participated in the “Sixth War” in 2009 and he was responsible for leading the forces in the district of Kataf in Saada province.
After the “Sixth War” and the beginning of the fight against the government of Ali Abdullah Saleh and the emergence of terrorist groups such as ISIS, he was engaged in the fight against Ansar al-Sharia (the ally of ISIS in Yemen) in the district of Kataf in Saada province. Meanwhile, he was assigned the responsibility of operations against al-Qaeda and the Islah Party in the district of Arhab in Sana’a province and the conquest of Yahyis military base in Arhab. It should be noted that on 2014, Arhab district was under the siege of Al-Qaeda and ISIS, which Ansar Allah under the command of Abu Haadar broke the siege and dominated the Arhab.
After this, Abu Haydar went to the fronts of Al-Jawf and Amran and took control of several bases from the Mansour Hadi forces. After this period, he took command of the operation to liberate the Special Security Forces base in Sana’a, which was one of the most difficult conflicts of that period.
Following the control of ISIS over Bayhan and the slaughter of Muslims in those areas, he took responsibility for the operation against ISIS and went to Shabwah province. As a result of his command and the sacrifice of the warriors; Ansar Allah entered Shabwah province during a heavy conflict and cleared the district of Bayhan from the control of ISIS and Al-Qaeda terrorists.
In April 2015, he went to the Sarwah front in Marib province and carried out heavy counter-attacks against the operations of Mansour Hadi and the Saudi coalition forces on this front. His counter-attack measures were so sophisticated that all Saudi coalition operations were failed in this axis, and since then, the Saudi coalition has not able to launch an effective military operation in the are, and other scattered attempts have failed every time.
Finally, Abu Haydar, this brave and self-sacrificing Yemeni commander, was martyred in one of the attacks of the Saudi coalition on Eid al-Fitr last year (26th June 2017) in the western front of Marib (near al-Mukhdara) and joined his martyred comrades. May his path continue.
