ISWNews Analysis Group: Today morning Turkish warplanes violated Iraq airspace and bombed northern villages of Irbil province.

According to local sources, today morning Turkish warplanes bombed Derbi village heights between Warte and Qandil areas in northeast of Irbil province. The bombing took place at 4:40 and the planes were flying over the area until 7:00.

In the past week this is Turkey’s third assault to Iraq and bombing the Kurdish inhabited areas. The discord between two ruling Kurdish parties in Iqlim has increased over whether sending troops to the region or no. If the dispute doesn’t settle, there is a chance that the sovereignty of the Iqlim is divided between Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK). The two parties are supposed to negotiate in Warte.

Nechirvan Barzani, head of Iqlim Kurdistan, said that PKK presence in Iqlim is illegal and they should leave.
