Al-Watiyah airbase plays an important role in the air support of the Libyan National Army (LNA), led by General Haftar in northwestern Libya, especially in the battles of Tripoli; and obviously, with the capture of this base by the Government of National Accord (GNA), the balance of power in northwestern Libya will change significantly in favor of the GNA.
Also the clips shows the Pantsir-S1 system in a shelter in the al-Watiyah airbase that pro-GNA media have claimed it was destroyed yesterday by the Bayraktar TB2 drone, and it seems they were wrong about it.
