Iraq: Terrorist explosion in Sadr City

ISWNews Analysis Group: On July 19, more than 60 people were injured and 36 were killed in a terrorist blast in the Baghdad’s Sadr City.

A suicide bomber killed 36 people and wounded dozens in the Al-Wahilat Market in Iraq’s capital Baghdad on Monday, the eve of the Eid al-Adha festival. Among the martyrs are 10 women and 4 children.

Hours after the attack, ISIS claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in the Sadr City of Baghdad.

On April 15, in another similar attack, a car bomb exploded in the al-Habibiyah area of Sadr City, killing and injuring more than 20 Iraqi civilians, and ISIS claimed responsibility.
