Rocket attack on Turkish Bashiqa base in northern Iraq

ISWNews Analysis Group: The Turkish Bashiqa base in north of Mosul was attacked with several rockets fired by the Iraqi groups.

On August 25, the Turkish Bashiqa military base in the Zelkan region, located in north of Mosul, was targeted by 50 Fajr-1 rockets. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

It is said that as a result of this attack, four Turkish servicemen were killed. Turkish officials and military commanders have not commented on this attack so far.

On August 15 also, the Bashiqa military base was targeted by several rockets fired by Ahrar al-Iraq group.
