The Yemeni army and the ‘Islamic resistance In Iraq’ orchestrated another series of joint military operations against the Israeli affiliated ships in the Red Sea and Mediterranean.

The Yemeni army (backed by Ansar Allah) announced on June 28 that it had attacked four Israel-linked merchant vessels, including one owned by the United States, in response to the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in response to recent American-British strikes on Yemen.

“Our armed forces carried out several qualitative military operations, including a joint military operation with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI) targeted the oil tanker Waler in the Mediterranean Sea with several drones while it was on its way to the port of Haifa,” Brigade General Yahya Sarea, the group’s military spokesman, said in a statement.

“The Yemeni army’s missile force and navy successfully targeted the DELONIX oil tanker with several ballistic missiles.” According to Yahya Saree, the operation led to “a direct hit on the ship.”

According to UKTMO, the Delonix was located around 150 nautical miles (277 kilometers) northwest of Hudaydah when it was attacked.

“The Yemeni Army’s Missile Force targeted the Johannes Maersk ship in the Mediterranean Sea with a cruise missile successfully. Maersk is one of the companies that has provided the most support to the Zionist regime and, more than any other company, violates the decision to ban entry to occupied Palestinian ports.”

“The Yemeni navy carried out a military operation in the Red Sea against the IOANNIS bulk carrier, targeting it with several USVs.”

Since last November, the Yemeni army attacked dozens of vessels affiliated with Israel or owned by the U.S. and the UK in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea in response to the Israeli war and siege on Gaza.

The attacks have sent insurance costs spiraling for vessels transiting the Red Sea and prompted many shipping firms to take the far longer passage around the southern tip of Africa instead.

Israel has been waging an atrocious onslaught against the Gaza Strip, targeting hospitals, residences, and houses of worship after Palestinian groups launched a surprise attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, on October 7. At least 37,834 Palestinians have been killed and more than 86 thousands wounded so far, most of them women and children.

The Yemeni army has pledged to continue missile and drone attacks on illegal ships that violate the ban on entering the ports of occupied Palestine until Israeli and American crimes against the Palestinian people stop.

According to statistics gathered by the IWN, the recent attacks by the Yemeni army on these ships mark the 129th-132th attacks on the Israeli affiliated ships in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea.
