The city of Aleppo experienced relative calm on Monday night after several hours of intense clashes between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and forces aligned with the Damascus government. The fighting resulted in civilian casualties and injuries.
Amid months of armed clashes in Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya neighborhoods, an agreement was signed to stabilize these areas. The neighborhoods will now be administered as part of Aleppo under the protection of Syrian Internal Security Forces.
