The Iranian home-grown Majid Air Defense System is a short-range, low-altitude system with high mobility. This air defense system is suitable for tracking and destroying various low-altitude aerial targets such as drones, cruise missiles, helicopters, and so on. The Majid system was first displayed in a parade on April 18, 2021, and it was officially used in the military drills dubbed “Defenders of the Sky of Velayat 1400” (2021).

The LIDS system, short for Low Integrated Defeat System, is a US anti-drone system to deal with small drones, which consists of a set of radar, electronic warfare system, electro-optical and infrared camera and Coyote loitering munition to identify and destroy targets. This system can be used in both fixed (FS-LIDS) and mobile (M-LIDS) modes for short-range and regional defense.

Karrar Main Battle Tank (MBT) is a significant upgrade on the T-72 tank currently in use by the Islamic Republic of Iran Armed Forces. This upgrade brings the existing tanks up to the standard equivalent to the T-90MS. The Karrar tank is equipped with various systems, including a laser rangefinder, ballistic computer, automatic loading system, navigation system, communication and digital battlefield management system, as well as electronic warfare countermeasure system.

Vikhr missile (9K121 Vikhr) is a Russian short-range anti-armor air-to-surface missile that is used against various armored targets. The missile can be launched from warships, Ka-50 and Ka-52 helicopters, and Su-25T aircraft.

Mohajer-10 is an Iran-made long-range combat and reconnaissance drone that was unveiled on Iran’s Defense Industry Day in the presence of the President Ebrahim Raisi and Minister of Defense Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Gharaei Ashtiani on August 22, 2023. This drone has a range of 2000 kilometers with its advanced camera and it is equipped with the latest updates and the ability to carry various ammunition, which is considered one of the most advanced Iran-made drones.

The AH-64 Apache is an American two-seat, twin-engine turboshaft attack helicopter produced by the American Boeing Defense, Space & Security. This helicopter is considered as the most advanced multipurpose attack helicopter of the United States Army.

The Iranian Toophan anti-tank guided missile family is a set of eleven Toophan anti-armor missiles, whose base model was produced through reverse engineering of the BGM-71 TOW missile. Toophan anti-tank missiles are considered the backbone of Iranian anti-armor missiles and they have been produced in large numbers so far. In general, 11 members of the Toofan missile family are shown with numbers 1 to 7, including two upgraded variants as well as two renamed variants, which we will explain them in detail in the following article.

A Lebanese TV network has released a video of exercises of the anti-armor unit of the resistance movement Hezbollah in Lebanon, in which images of the Tharallah anti-tank system were displayed for the first time.  

Abu Mahdi missile is an Iranian long-range surface-to-surface and anti-ship cruise missile that was developed by the Aerospace Industries Organization (AIO) of Iran’s Ministry of Defence. This missile is the first Iranian land-attack cruise missile (LACM) capable of executing both anti-ship and land-strike missions. This missile was unveiled in 20 August 2022 and reached mass production in 2023.

HIMARS is a flexible and light multiple rocket launcher designed to meet the demands of the modern battlefield. This system is developed and manufactured by the US company Lockheed Martin. As a multi-purpose launcher, HIMARS today carries a wide range of munitions, but the main use of this system is in the field of artillery and the firing of precision guided rockets.
