Two Turkish soldiers killed in Iraq

ISWNews Analysis Group: The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that two of its soldiers were killed in northern Iraq.

The Turkish soldiers were killed during clashes with PKK militants in northern Duhok.

On April 23, the Turkish Army launched a joint air and ground operation against the PKK group in northern Iraq. Operation Pence-Simsek (Thunder Claw) and Pence-Yildirim (Lightning Claw) is the third Turkish military operation in northern Iraq in less than two months.
