Qais Alkhazali, leader of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq [a part of the Popular Mobilization Units], welcomed the Iraqi Parliament’s decision to oppose an independence referendum promoted by the Kurdistan Region government and and emphasized his support to Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi in preserving Iraq’s integrity.
Proposing by 80 parliament representatives, 168 member of parliament refused holding a referendum in Kurdistan.
