ISWNews Analysis Group: Zalmay Khalilzad, the US special envoy to Afghanistan and head of negotiations with the Taliban, has resigned.
ISWNews Analysis Group: Zalmay Khalilzad, the US special envoy in Afghanistan affairs and in charge of negotiations with the Taliban, confirmed the US withdrawal from the five military bases in Afghanistan.
ISWNews Analysis Group: In presence of officials and representatives of countries in Doha, Qatar, the agreement between USA and Taliban was signed.
ISWNews Analysis Group: Khalilzad, US envoy in Afghanistan and chief negotiator with Taliban, travelled to Pakistan to meet Qamar Javed Bajwa, commander of army.
Few hours ago the news of an E-11A aircraft crash in Deh Yek, Ghazni province was broadcasted. It was stated that the aircraft was military and had between ten to 85 crew. However, the capacity of this model is about 20. Then Zabihullah Mujahid, Taliban’s spokesperson took the responsibility in a statement.
US gave Taliban 10 days deadline for the ceasefire to continue the talks. Some Taliban sources said that they don’t accept any ceasefire before the agreement.
