Head of the Southern Transitional Council in Yemen Aidarus al-Zoubaidi called on the Western states to support the division of Yemen into two northern and southern countries in an interview with The Guardian, and assured the Westerners that he would secure the maritime lines, ports and oil fields in southern Yemen.
